No original documents for admission required and fees to return on admission withdrawal, notifies UGC

UGC Notification 1

The University Grant Commission (UGC) issued a notification for students of higher education, which rules out the retention of original documents during admission. It also implies on refund of fees on admission withdrawals.

According to the HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, students do not have to submit the original copies of their documents during their admission procedure. Institutes will ask for only attested copies now.

Read below the refund policy:

  • 100 per cent refund on admission withdrawal prior to 15 days of the notified last date of admission.
  • 90 per cent refund on admission withdrawal within 15 days of the notified last date of admission.
  • 50 per cent refund on admission withdrawal between 16 to 30 days after the notified last date of admission.
  • Zero refund on admission withdrawal after the prescribed date.
